maathemis partners with other likeminded charities to drive change through advocacy and fundraising. The main source of funds raised will be through a major annual event - The Taste of Change.
Our primary goal and objective is to provide financial support, and additional resources and visibility, to a WA-based charity who supports people in our community who are facing marginalisation, disadvantage or injustice.
How we help
Each year, our Committee identifies a Partner Charity whose purpose is providing benevolent relief for people in need. We then organise and host a major fundraising event for that charity. We may also organise other fundraising or donation drives for the same charity or a similar cause throughout the year.
Examples of the causes we support include people experiencing homelessness, mental health organisations, people experiencing domestic violence, issues faced by First Nations peoples, people seeking asylum, and providing relief to those who have experienced a natural disaster.
